Kolkata’s popular film actor Jeet will arrive in Dhaka on June 5 with a view to promoting his Indo-Bangla film “Boss 2”. The Indian star played the lead role in the film as Surya which is scheduled to release on the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
The National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision at a meeting held at the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office on Sunday evening after reviewing information of the Shawwal moon sighting. At a post-meeting briefing, Religious Affairs Minister Principal Matior Rahman told reporters that the Shawwal moon was sighted in Bangladesh sky.

Riaz have been elected as vice-presidents against Nadir Khan from Omar Sunny-Amit Hasan panel, he added. The election of the artistes' association was held at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in Dhaka on last Friday.
